This podcast was created by young people as a project of Youth MOVE Colorado, a youth-led organization. This is meant to serve as a fun, educational, and community-building resource for youth with lived experience. Episode 9 - Advocacy with Special Guest YMCO Fellow Autumn
Autumn shared her experiences with creative writing and publishing her first book, "When My Heart Speaks." She discussed the therapeutic and advocacy aspects of her poetry, particularly in relation to disability and LGBTQ+ advocacy. autumn also shared her journey with self-publishing, emphasizing the simplicity of the process and the importance of pursuing one's dreams. She ended by encouraging others to hold onto hope and be authentic in their own lives. Julia also discussed the Move Colorado podcast project, aiming to serve as an educational and community-building resource for young people with experiences in foster care, homelessness, and mental health.
